Exiting South Hall Market and North Hall, visitors enter a plaza filled with handmade arts crafted by some of DC's best local artists. Eastern Market's arts and craft vendors are made up of painters, sculptors, independent designers, woodworkers, jewelers, potters, and photographers! Click on the above link "Meet our Vendors" for a list of all artists who exhibit at Eastern Market.
Currently, we are not accepting vendors. When we DO rebegin our application process, we will get out the word through our e-newsletter and Facebook. Please sign up for our e-newletter by clicking the link above and to the right. See below to learn more about vending at Eastern Market.
By legislation, Eastern Market can accept non-food vendors who sell any one of the following types of products:
- Ethno-specific handcrafts (think about Anthony Reddix's giraffes made of aluminum cans or Emmanuel Babatunde's masks from Africa).
- Antiques, vintage goods or collectibles.
- Arts and Crafts (handmade by you!).
If you sell one of these product types, consider applying to vend at Eastern Market.
Because we have such good representation from jewelers, we do not accept applications from jewelers. Nor do we accept applications from Designers/Producers of Graphic T-Shirts. We also have relatively good representation from 2D artists (photos, oil, acrylic, and watercolor) so we discourage applicants unless they feel that their product is TRULY unique. Thanks!!!
Community groups are encouraged to be a part of Eastern Market! Community groups are established non-profit organizations for which 100% of programming goes to the DC Metropolitan area including DC. A limited number of spaces are available for product sales or simply getting out the word. The cost for a community group to rent a 10x10 is $35. Call us from Wednesday - Sunday at 202698-5253 to schedule a date!
